Winter Has Arrived!

Greetings all!

 

Wow it's been way too long since I’ve written a Donnie's Dirt, and so much has happened since last year. The short summer is over now (considering my deck is white) and we are really getting excited to Ride Inside.

 

As a side note I would like to thank all of you who followed me while I backpacked in the Yukon and Northern British Columbia - it was quite an experience! I traveled well over 100 miles with a backpack and the photos were nothing short of epic.

 

Ok, back to what matters…

 

You've probably heard we are partly under new ownership, so if you see some new faces, that’s why. My new partner is Jennifer Wolff, she brings a lot of business experience and drive to our organization, and we're very excited to have her on board!

 

Next in the staffing department, and just as exciting, we have hired a General Manager and Director of Marketing! We would like to welcome and congratulate Shawn Anderson and Todd Johnson respectively; both will bring so much to our facility!

 

We also have a number of new faces on staff this season, and some familiar ones too, so be sure to say hello to the people dedicated to ensuring your experience at the track is a great one!

 

Now, on the to facility and the track…

 

One of the biggest changes that we're making and the one we are most excited about has to do with our air quality. This new system coupled with our current system will take our total air exchange from 38 min to 13 min!!! There’s nothing more to say!

 

Another hot new ticket this fall is the addition of Transponders from MyLaps. With the Transponders in place, the races will now be scored in real time and everyone will be able to see who is absolutely flying with system timed lap times. During the race, the transponders will make scoring that much more accurate, and during practice you’ll truly find out if you’re getting faster…sorry guys, the computer doesn't lie!

 

Our last big update for this season may be our most popular update…NEW TRACKS!! Every race in our Winter Series will be on a different track! Each month we'll have a full track rebuild and every two weeks a new section change will be put in place thanks to Schaeffer Tracks! So, the next time you see Shane “Those are dogs in my coat but I am happy to see you” Schaefer or Marty “Mr. One Man Party” Leum you'll have to thank them -- they really are the very best.

 

Sorry for the dry Donnie's Dirt but there was business to get done! We are getting totally revamped and we really are here to cater to the riders and fans, so let us know what you like and how you like it!
